Authority and function of the Organization

  1.  It creates awareness and movement around protecting the rights and  interests of women and children.

  2.  It ensures that the opportunities that enable women to actively participate  in the economic and social activities  of the region are facilitated.

  3.  Encourages women to organize themselves according to their needs and problems, fight for their rights and  eliminate their problems, facilitates conditions.

  4.  Designs, evaluates and monitors the policies, laws, development programs and projects of the regional  government to include the issue of women and children.

  5.  Facilitates the conditions under which discrimination against women and children can be identified, harmful  traditional practices and attacks are identified, monitors the performance, and works to raise awareness.

  6.  Ensures that women are given enough attention to be assigned to decision-making positions in various  government bodies.

  7.  It conducts studies to help improve the living conditions of low-income women, formulates programs and  projects and implements them, facilitates access to credit and savings services, and monitors performance.

  8.  Designs a strategy and provides support for women to be active participants and beneficiaries in development,  good governance and democratic system building.

  9.  Conducts studies to strengthen the capacity of women's organizations, provides trainings, facilitates and  coordinates training services.

  10.  It will study the improvement of the living conditions of mothers and protect the rights and safety of children  and implement it in cooperation with the relevant parties.

  11.  By strengthening the organization of women and increasing their economic capacity, it coordinates and  monitors to ensure their social participation and benefits; Identifies children who are vulnerable for various  reasons, works with the concerned body to ensure their safety, supports women and children who have been  abused to get appropriate services at a centre as needed;

  12.  Monitors the implementation of international treaties and agreements signed by our country regarding women  and children, and submits a report to the relevant bodies.

  13.  Performs other duties necessary to implement the purpose.
